HERE'S A NEWS UPDATE...

*

The eJournal is in process of being brought fully up-to-date. From Clair Martin's newest thoughts of the season (From the Editor) and Remembrance of a dear friend (In Closing) to the latest in our ongoing project delineating Japan-bred roses, we're back on track (once and for all!). It's a great relief for us to finally have a single computer powerful enough to handle all of the work that goes into generating this website - and we can do it so much more quickly!!

THE LAST LONG BREAK...:
After a long, arduous sabbatical in which we faced many challenges - personally, physically, and computer-wise - TRN is finally and permanently back in business! We sincerely appreciate your forebearance and faith in our efforts to bring you this service on a regular and reliable basis. Now we truly have the means and knowledge to fulfill that original goal.

First up for all our members is that all current paid memberships will be extended the full year (to 1 March 2006).

Secondly, now that we have all our website manufacturing happening at a single location and on a single (brand new and much faster) computer, we'll have no trouble keeping to our monthly update schedule. We'll also be getting into our service expansion programs that we've mentioned in previous notices.

Thirdly (and this may be the most important for some of our longterm members), we trust you'll be pleased to note that our website images are now being optimized for the web; which means a substantial reduction in the loading time for our pages. Even with the heavy image usage we maintain, you're computers will have any easier and quicker time of loading them!

And finally, you'll note some quicker updates for a few weeks as we try to bring everything up-to-date. Some material will be up from the Fall/Winter period for a bit longer, and then we'll bring ourselves current shortly after that.

Our newest contributor, Garden Travel Editor Bill Grant, has yet to see his department come to fruition ("Gardens Of Earth"), and Bill, we humbly Apologize to You! But we've not forgotten our plans for this section. We will be addressing this and other, great new sections in the coming weeks.

As we get everything up to speed, this page, in particular, will most likely shift to include insider schedules, tips, etc., that you won't find anywhere else on the site.

*

The TRN PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIVE will still be coming soon...

*

This first TOP 11 is a collection of favorite roses selected by Clair. As we move forward with this page, the TOP 11 Roses will be listed as the "best" rose selections based on various criteria. We hope to add a Member Vote segment to this so we can update this once a month and/or seasonally. We'll keep you posted.

*

The RoseLINKS section will certainly grow with time. We have some wonderful friends who've graciously shared links with TRN - we encourage you to visit and even patronize their sites. If you have a rose-related website or would like to recommend sites to be added to RoseLINKS, send them along. We'll do our best to make the additions timely.
